3-1 Flyers Teehee

Last night was another epic victory. There’s little I can say about the team or Marty B that hasn’t already been said.

Instead, I’d like to discuss the officiating of this series and how much it utterly blows. Srsly.

I thought the kneeing penalty against Mike Richards in game 1 was bad, but last night’s boarding call was just plain stupid.

Boarding : Checking (shoving) an opponent so that he is thrown violently against the boards.

I’m not sure which game the refs were watching but I did not see this happen. I can’t remember which Hab Richie supposedly did this to, but I do clearly remember them being far from the boards. As a matter of fact, when the Hab went down, he barely touched the wall. FAIL.

And how about some of the non-calls? This was the 2nd game in a row that a Hab tried to decimate R.J. Umberger’s knee. And surprise, surprise – NO CALL. Like wtf.

To be quite honest, I’m surprised there was a call on that dirty hit Begin delivered to Sami Kapanen. You know, almost killing him as Kaps tried to leave the ice. Nice, real nice bb.

I might need to invest in some horse tranquilizers before game 5 on Saturday because I’m sure the officiating will only get worse.

  1. We need to agree to disagree on this issue.
I don’t completely disagree with you. But I don’t completely agree with you at the same time. (Hence me never commenting on this subject before) . . . . Just want to say it now so you know I’m not ignoring you. lol

I do agree about that Richie call though. And honestly, I can’t even remember it. Also, I remember Umbie getting a penalty and not even knowing what it was for. So yeah, that was awesome. lol

It’s okay, we’ll take this series. And shove it up their asses. Seriously.

Haha. Well I’m not saying that every single penalty called against the Flyers is wrong, but a lot of them are complete bs. Or the fact that they call everything they possibly can on the Flyers but they don’t even it out with the Habs. There have been some horrible noncalls.

But agreeing to disagree is fine with me. Either way, I know we both love the boys and want them to win :)

  3. It just shows the character of the team and how they rise to occasion. If you think those calls were bad wait till Saturday night! I expect the officials to do everything in their power to stop the Flyers from winning, but it won’t be enough. You could tie their shoelaces together and give them broomsticks and the Flyers would still WIN!
OOOOH CANADA so foolish and so free — so long losers.

Yes! That’s what I love about them, how they can pull through, even with all the adversity. Oh man, I know…Saturday is going to be insane. I’ll either be screaming or covering my eyes the whole time.

We are so taking this series.

I agree, we’ve come so far, much farther than many people thought possible after last season.

I am so very proud of these boys!
