Kimmo Timonen out indefinitely
Well I’ve always dismissed the idea, but I think it’s about time I re-evaluate that whole Philly curse idea.
In case you haven’t heard, Timonen is out indefinitely, probably the remainder of the playoffs, with a blood clot in his ankle.
WHY GOD WHY?
:: deep breath ::
Okay. I’m okay. Just…….GUH. Poor guy! It would have been his first time going to the conference finals. Maybe things are worse than we think and he’ll be able to come back. Pretty please?
Okay boys. It’s time for the rest of the defense to step up majorly. Actually, everyone really needs to step up now. We can do this.

I agree, It’s the fickle finger of fate poking the Flyers in the eye. As if it wasn’t hard enough already, now they lose a key defensive element when it’s need the most. I don’t know if there is anyone of the same caliber to replace him. The choices are slower less skilled and prone to drawing penalties. The one thing they can’t afford to give up. Talk about being up against a rock and a hard place. Only time will tell if the Flyers can overcome this obstacle.

Why? Why must they be poked in the eye??
I wish we could clone Kimmo. He is one of a kind. I just really, really hope one of the other d-men step up. What I like about this team right now is that everyone has stepped up since playoffs and I think a lot of our forwards have been playing good in our zone, too. So that’s a plus. But man oh man if Modes or Gator could be really awesome right about now…
